Core choice courses are 2-hour courses. Full-time students are required to choose at least one class to complete their 18 hours, but are able to choose additional core choice classes if they would like additional English practice.
Some courses are offered every term and are required for some students depending on their level or future plans. These courses include:
- Phonics and Pronunciation: This course is required for all EPrep-2 students in their first term in the IEP.
- Academic Writing: These courses are required for all students planning to attend a U.S. University.
- Reading Fluency.
Some courses are offered on a rotating basis. Offerings are based on student interest. Examples are:

- Academic Vocabulary
- Test Prep (iBT, Paper-based TOEFL, IELTS)
- English Conversation
- Current Events
- Business English
- Culture and Cooking
- Short Story
