IEP Application FAQs

IEP Admissions Requirements:

  • Successfully completed high school degree, in good standing
  • Demonstrate preparedness for academic success at a U.S. Intensive English Program

Students transferring from another U.S. institution need a letter of recommendation from the institution they are attending

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Requirements

  • Valid passport
  • Appropriate visa for study in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated financial capability to study and live in the U.S. during the entirety of studies

University of Oregon offers undergraduate Conditional Admission, placing qualified students in the IEP to develop college ready English.

IEP Application

  1. Complete the IEP Application or UO Conditional Admission application. Term application deadlines are listed in the IEP Calendar.
  2. Submit $110.00 U.S. nonrefundable application fee.  Payment options include, online VISA or Master card, mail in check or international money order.
  3. Required supplementary documents can be mailed, faxed, or emailed (aei@uoregon.edu).

a) Most recent high school transcript or higher degree transcript and/or diploma

b) Copy of biographical page of passport

c) Completed Part 2 of the application (Financial Statement)

d) Personal, sponsor, guarantor's bank statement

As questions arise, AEI Admissions may contact you via email, to request original or certified copies of specific documents.

Admissions Review Process & Next Steps

Upon receipt of all application materials, it takes between 5 to 10 business days to process applications. Qualifying applicants will receive an acceptance letter and SEVIS Certification of Enrollment via express mail to the address listed.

Admitted students are then responsible for timely review and completion of the steps outline on "IEP New Student."
