LEVEL 6 INTENSIVE PROGRAM STUDENTS AND UO CONDITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION

Academically qualified AEI undergraduate students can be admitted directly to the University of Oregon after the successful completion of level 6, if recommended by the AEI.

UO CONDITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION

The University of Oregon offers "conditional undergraduate admission" to international undergraduate students who require English language instruction before they begin their studies at the university level. Students who are conditionally admitted attend the American English Institute (AEI) to study English in an intensive environment.

International undergraduate students may request conditional admission in the special circumstances section of the application, or by sending an e-mail to uoglobal@uoregon.edu [please include full name, UO ID number {if known}, and date of birth].

In order to be conditionally admitted an undergraduate student must apply and meet all the University of Oregon’s application requirements except the English proficiency requirement. Please visit UO International Admissions to apply and learn more about the University of Oregon’s international undergraduate student admission requirements.

For more details, please see the UO Conditional Undergraduate Admission website.

ACADEMIC ENGLISH FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (AEIS) PROGRAM

In addition to its Intensive English Program, the American English Institute provides courses for international students who are not native speakers of English who have enrolled at the University of Oregon. These Academic English for International Students (AEIS) courses include Reading and Vocabulary, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. They may take these courses while they take other courses at the university. Please visit AEIS for more information.
